Mozart builds software that helps food, beverage and foodservice suppliers recover invalid retailer and distributor deductions.
The role
You'll be Mozart's domain expert on deductions and the person who makes sure every dispute we file is right. You'll run customer recoveries, write the rules our AI follows, and turn what you know into product.
What you’ll own
- Recovery outcomes for pilot customers: reviewing deductions, approving disputes, and tracking win rates and dollars recovered
- The deduction rulebook: validity rules, required backup, deadlines and dispute paths by retailer and distributor
- Onboarding: mapping each supplier’s AR, cash application and trade-spend setup so recovered cash reconciles cleanly in their books
- Quality control on what our agents produce, with clear feedback the engineering team can act on
- Customer calls alongside the founder, as the person who has done this job before
About you
- 3+ years in deductions management, AR, credit and collections, or trade-spend accounting, ideally at a CPG, food/beverage or distribution company
- You know how major retailer and distributor portals work and what wins a dispute
- Strong in Excel and comfortable with large datasets; SQL is a plus
- Explain accounting clearly to engineers and to suppliers’ finance teams
Nice to have
CPA or progress toward one; experience implementing AR or deductions software; foodservice distributor experience.
